A Man in the Audience Made Elvis Laugh so Much He Wasn’t Able to Finish His Song, Hilarious!

Elvis Laughing While Singing 'Are You Lonesome Tonight'.

Elvis is one of those artists that even if you weren’t born when he was a superstar, his music is still influencing everyone to this day including this young man that sounds remarkably like the King. In April of 1969, Elvis signed on to sing at the International Hotel in Las Vegas where it was still under construction.

Elvis liked to kid around with the audience and he would sometimes change the lyrics to some of his songs. In the following video, he sings “Are You Lonesome Tonight”; however, he changes “Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there” to “Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair”. What happens next made him laugh so much that he had a difficult time keeping his composure while singing the song.

One of the other reasons why he couldn’t stop laughing was because Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston, continued her background vocals while all of this was happening.
