Having a child is one of the greatest joys in life but Samuel Forrest’ wife didn’t share the same enthusiasm for their newborn son. Forrest’s son, Leo, was born on Jan. 21 at an Armenian hospital but his doctor informed him that their new son was born with Down Syndrome.
Upon hearing the news, Samuel had a moment of shock but it was quickly wiped away when he seen his precious son. His other moment of shock was when he entered his wife’s hospital room where she gave him an ultimatum: if he kept the baby, she would file for divorce.
Forest chose his son and his wife filed for divorce a week later.
As a single Dad, Forest wants to move to his native country of New Zealand and take care of his son.
Because of the expenses of raising a family on his own, Forest started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help him support his son for a year.
To the surprise of Forest, his GoFundMe campaign has so far raised over $338,000 to help cover expenses of moving to New Zealand and to take care of his son.
I love a story with a happy ending and glad to see that little Leo will have a great life. If you would like to donate to Forest’ GoFundMe campaign, please visit his ‘Bring Leo Home‘ funding campaign.
