Children love to climb things but when a two-year-old toddler and his brother decided to climb up his dresser, things went horribly wrong. As the twins pulled out the drawers to use them as stairs, their weight causes the dresser to topple over.
The dresser fell on one of the boys while his brother was able to pry himself out. As he notices that his brother is stuck underneath, he musters up all of his strength to push the dresser off.
The children’s father, Ricky Shoff, had a home monitoring camera installed in his home. He shared the nursery surveillance footage to help raise awareness about bolting down furniture like dressers or wall units.
Watch a 2-year-old miraculously save his twin brother…
In a Facebook post, their father says, “I’ve been a little hesitant to post this. But I feel it’s not only to bring awareness, but it is also incredible. We are so grateful for the bond that these twin brothers share. We know Bowdy was not alone in moving the dresser off of Brock. And feel blessed that he is ok. Please make sure all your dressers are bolted and secured to the wall. Please share.”
This situation could have quickly had a tragic ending if it wasn’t for the quick actions of this brave and heroic 2-year-old. Please share this amazing video which shows the potential consequences of not bolting furniture to the wall if you have children with your friends and family.
