The United Kingdom held a referendum with the following question, “Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?” Residents voted on June 23rd, 2016 and 51.9% voted in favor of separating from the EU.
On the 29th or March 2019, the process for the exit of Britain would officially begin but activists are trying to halt the process with petitions and marches. The Independent’s Final Say petition has over 1 million signatures and nearly 700,000 of these supporters marched through London.
