13-Year-Old Girl Appears Nervous Onstage. Minutes Later, Her Powerful Voice Earns Her the Golden Buzzer!

13-Year-Old Courtney Hadwin Earns Golden Buzzer at AGT 2018 Audition.

If you’ve ever watched America’s Got Talent auditions, you’ve likely have been left surprised by some performances. For me, the performances that knock me off my seat are usually the ones that seem to start off badly.

When 13-year-old Courtney Hadwin walks up on stage, you can tell this young girl is incredibly nervous. But the moment she starts singing Otis Redding’s classic ‘Hard To Handle’, you can tell she has what it takes to make it to the top. At times, it feels like she is channeling Janis Joplin! America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel accurately described her by saying, “you are not from this era” which is a huge compliment.

In fact, Howie Mandel was so impressed that he pressed the Golden Buzzer which automatically propels the 13-year-old powerhouse to the live show. Darci Lynne was the grand prize winner of America’s Got Talent 2017 and I can’t wait to see all the great performance at AGT 2018.
