It doesn’t matter if you’re an actor, a musician, or someone struggling paycheck to paycheck, if you work hard enough then you’ll be successful. How we define success is a personal thing; however, one thing is important and that is to never forget where you came from.
Actor Zach Galifianakis wasn’t always successful and when he was a struggling comedian in the early 90s, he was a regular patron at a local laundromat and he became friends with one of the volunteers. With the success of ‘The Hangover’, Zach Galifianakis didn’t frequent the laundromat anymore; however, when he heard his friend was homeless, he quickly did something about it.
Actor Zach Galifianakis was hilarious in ‘The Hangover’ but he wasn’t always successful. When he was a struggling comic in 1994, he regularly would frequent a local laundromat. There, he would become friends with one of the volunteers.
That friend was Mimi Haist who is now 88-years-old and she lived on tips when she volunteered at the laundromat. She has known Zach for over 20 years.
But when Zach found out that Mimi had been homeless for nearly 2 years, he quickly got her a cozy new apartment and pays her rent and utilities. He also enlisted the help of actress Renee Zellweger who has furnished her apartment and buys her groceries.
What Zach Galifianakis does for Mimi is incredible but he doesn’t stop there! Anytime he has a movie premiere, you’ll most likely see him accompanying Mimi to the premieres.
Zach Galifianakis has brought her to both ‘The Hangover’ and ‘The Hangover 2’ premieres as well as ‘The Campaign’ which was also successful. Zach Galifianakis has a heart of gold.
It is so great to see someone not forget where he came from. Zach has changed the life of this sweet 88-year-old woman with his generosity. Please share why Zach Galifianakis is so awesome with your friends and family.
