According to Down Syndrome Education International, “very few people with Down syndrome will ever be able to sing.” However, a young lady named Madison Tevlin won’t let that stop her from following her dreams and took up the challenge to defy the statistics and challenges associated with it.
The most common challenges for people with Down syndrome is memory retention. Another is language and speech development as they need to use twice the energy to speak. Madison has been taking vocal lessons from her vocal coach, Marla Joy with incredible success. This has helped her self confidence and and has worked wonders for her voice and memory retention as you will soon see.
