Even with promising cancer treatments providing effective ways of beating cancer, a cancer diagnosis is never an easy diagnosis to deal with. It’s especially difficult when children have to put their lives on hold to fight the disease.
On December 19th, 2016, Rylee Bernosky, a 5-year-old Florida girl told her parents she had painful headaches. After bringing her to the emergency room, her parents received the painful diagnosis that she had a malignant brain tumor.
Doctors quickly removed the tumor the next day and determined a course of treatments involving chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Keeping young Rylee Bernosky’s spirits up is especially important and one thing that makes her happy is receiving Get Well cards through the mail.
Just days before Christmas, 5-year-old Rylee Bernosky told her parents she had painful headaches and didn’t feel well.
After rushing their daughter to the emergency room, her parents were told Rylee had a malignant brain tumor.
The next morning, Rylee Bernosky received surgery at the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida where doctors successfully removed the tumor.
Starting in January, she will receive chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments with her family by her side.
Her parents are taking time off work to care for their daughter and a Go Fund Me page was created to help with expenses.
What really makes little Rylee Bernosky happy is receiving Get Well cards. If you would like to send Rylee a card, her address is listed below.
