I fell in love with ‘Carol of the Bells’ after hearing the beautiful rendition in the church scene in the 1990 Christmas classic, Home Alone. It was scored by John Williams, the brilliant composer that has created some of the most memorable movie soundtracks to blockbusters like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Jaws just to name a few; therefore, there is no doubt it would be fantastic. In this version by Pentatonix, they perform the song a capella and it sounds just as incredible.
Pentatonix lend their magic to so many Christmas classic. They do the same to ‘Carol of the Bells,’ an Ukrainian folk chant composed by Mykola Leontovych in 1914. Just like all of their Christmas songs, I’m sure it is going to be another holiday favorite.
