Miss America 2016 Contestant Kelley Johnson's Touching Story of Why She Became a Nurse.

During the second night of preliminaries in Atlantic City, Miss America 2016 contestants were asked to display their talents. During the talent competition, one contestant stunned everyone when she walked out in nursing scrubs. Kelley Johnson, who was crowned Miss Colorado 2015, is a nurse and she explained one of the reasons why she became a health professional.

She began her monologue by saying, “Every nurse has a patient that reminds them of why they became a nurse in the first place. Mine was Joe,” and she explains that Joe was an elderly Alzheimer’s patient that inspired her.
