You may have seen sculptures of stacked rocks when hiking; however, nothing compares to the incredible rock sculptures in the following images. The only “glue” that is used to hold these unbelievable rocks structures is gravity and the unbelievable talent of Michael Grab.
Michael Grab decided to try stacking rocks one day while exploring Boulder Creek in Boulder, Colorado and it quickly turned into a passion. He uses smooth stones that are as pretty as these painted mandala stones to create incredible sculptures from nature. Today, he captures incredible images of sculptures that seem to defy gravity; however, it is gravity itself that is keeping these rock structures together!
Looking at this balancing rock structure you would think they are being held together by something.
Michael Grab decided to try balancing rocks while exploring one day and it quickly turned into a passion.
He creates incredible rock art by carefully stacking each rock with nothing but gravity and tons of skill. He calls it “gravity glue.”
The sculptures he creates are breathtaking and unbelievable.
What is his secret to getting rocks to balance with unbelievable precision?
Much like a tripod, he chooses rocks with pivots or tiny dips and it can take anywhere from a minute to an hour to find that perfect balance.
Marvel at the unbelievable art he creates with rock balancing.
