There are so many reasons why animals will leave their young in the wild. Most of the time it is because they think their young are injured so they sometimes have no choice and it is heartbreaking.
Watch this baby squirrel rescue…
Just like a man that found a baby squirrel in a bag of mulch, photographer Nick Radford wasn’t expecting to find an animal in distress when he went hiking in the woods near his California home. He found a baby squirrel freezing in the cold and starving to death so he picked him up and began taking care of it while taking incredible pictures of his cute recovery.
Nick found this cute baby squirrel that was curled up because it was freezing.
He wrapped him up with the hood of his jacket and brought him home.
The little fella now had a cozy and warm nest that Nick made in his sink using a heating pad.
It allowed him to stay warm and recover.
It didn’t take much time to get him his first feeding and his eyes weren’t opened yet.
He was severely dehydrated and must have been so hungry.
He introduced the tiny squirrel to his dogs who were excited to see him.
They were anxious and wanted to watch the little fella being nursed back to health.
They were excited to have a new little furry buddy join their family.
They just loved playing together and helping the tiny squirrel recover.
He started feeling better and even started climbing on top of one of the dogs!
He definitely got a second chance at life thanks to Nick.
I think he likes climbing up and getting a better view 🙂
He gets all the free kisses he wants.
He’s part of the family and he has two older brothers to protect him now.
I think he likes to see photos of himself on the internet!
I am so happy that this baby squirrel was found in time and quickly nursed back to health thanks to Nick’s quick actions. Please share this incredible recovery of a frozen baby squirrel with your friends and family.
