According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 7.6 million animals are admitted to shelters every year with 3.4 million of them being cats. Sadly, 2.7 million of those animals (1.4 million cats) are not adopted and shelters have no choice but to have them euthanized.
One of these cats will not be part of that statistic because a loving couple, Danny and Hannah, adopted him even when he was labeled ‘unadoptable.’ When the shelter received him, the emaciated cat only weighed 7 pounds and was expected to be around 6-8 years old. Danny and Hannah turned his life around and it will warm your heart.
This cat was found around Bronx Park in New York and was brought to a shelter.
The cat was emaciated and labeled ‘unadoptable’ and was put on a list to be euthanized.
When a loving couple, Danny and Hannah, heard about an emaciated cat at a local shelter that was to be euthanized, they adopted it.
The emaciated cat only weighed 7 pounds at the time but Danny and Hannah knew with some loving care, he would be back on his feet.
When they adopted him, they named him JJ Swattington.
They fed him healthy food and he quickly began to regain his health.
Within 6 months, you can immediately notice how happier JJ Swattington is with his new family.
8) Danny and Hannah are proud of their little JJ and how much progress he has made since his adoption.
There are so many animals in shelters that only want a family to love them. Danny and Hannah have done a wonderful thing for this loving and once emaciated cat. Please share this heartwarming adoption of an emaciated cat that was on a list to be euthanized with your friends and family.
