According to the Oxford dictionary, a hero is a “person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements or noble qualities”. This homeless person has all these qualities and more.
Born on July 20, 1914, Dobri Dobrev is a hero and a saint for everything he does. He may be homeless, but for decades he would walk 25 kilometers from his village to the city of Sofia, Bulgaria where he would collect money walking the streets. However, the money wasn’t for him. He gives the money away to churches and orphanages that don’t have funds to pay their bills.
