His Players Disrespected the National Anthem. What This Coach Did Had Some Veterans in Tears.

Coach Gives a Lesson in Respect for the National Anthem.

Virginia Tech basketball coach Buzz Williams noticed something about the players that bothered him. When the national anthem played before every game, most of his players would not pay attention or didn’t portray body language that showed respect. He didn’t mind if they didn’t sing the national anthem; however, he wanted them to know WHY they should listen to every word and what the anthem represents.

He decided to invite veterans that risked their lives to ensure peace in our country and throughout the world to show his players why they should show respect. When his players heard his words, it made them reflect and appreciate their country and the brave men and women that help keep it safe.
