Spectators were in for a treat when the Mahomet-Seymour High School dance team put on performances recently. Unlike most school dance performances which feature high-energy music or hip-hop songs, they chose a thought-provoking track entitled “What Are You Afraid Of?” by Jon Jorgenson.
The girls performed a memorable dance routine that isn’t what you normally expect and that is why it so special. It allowed people to reflect on themselves. The performance centered around a common question that asked, “What room does fear have?”

The spoken words along with the beautiful choreography of their interpretive dance create such an inspiring performance that it gives you the chills. The school should be incredibly proud of these amazing dancers displaying strength, talent, joy, time, spirit, heart, and translation through art.
