Pets get abandoned for a number of reasons but it breaks your heart when it happens. One 16-year-old pooch named “Bear” was abandoned by his owners. His health was deteriorating and he was losing his will to live with every passing day.
Because of his age, nobody wanted to adopt him until a loving family dropped by the shelter and changed his life forever. They gave him all the food he wanted, a loving home, and more importantly, a loving family who could take care of him.
His kennel card listed that he was abandoned but no one wanted to adopt 16-year-old “Bear” that needed a family.
Thankfully, a loving family walked into the shelter and adopted “Bear” and he was going home!
His first day home was a great time to rest after all that excitement.
His family gave him a new name, “Norman” and I’m sure he is going to love it.
He needed a lot of rest to get his health back as he was frail and shedding heavily his first week.
Norman must be feeling better because he loves to eat again!
He found his favorite spot on the couch…
Including all the food and naps he wants, he is going to be loved by a beautiful family.
Weeks later, he looks like a new dog! His coat is thick and shiny, he gained back some of his weight, and he looks happy in his new home.
